Goa's most beautiful yacht for private charter

The `Solita' is a 42ft. luxury motor yacht with easy seating accommodation on the flybridge, rear and front decks. Beneath the spacious deck are the beautifully handcrafted teak interiors. There is a large lounge room with a stereo system, fully equipped pantry, two bedroom cabins with attached toilets cum shower. The twin 145 hp diesel engines from John Deere have a cruising speed of 8 knots per hour.

You can charter the Solita on an hourly basis. The yacht comes with a crew of four including the captain, an engineer and two deck hands cum stewards. When you charter the Solita then you are free to take up to 26 guests on the cruise. The charter means that the cruise will be exclusively for you and your guests.

Morning Ocean Cruises

This is the chance to spot dolphins, anchor in a quiet bay, swim around the yacht and enjoy a lunch on board.

Starting from her mooring in the backwaters, the Solita cruises past the Salim Ali bird sanctuary, the town of Panjim, past the fort of Reis Magos to come out in the wide mouth of the river Mandovi as she meets the Arabian Sea.

This beautiful, wide area is a fertile ground for the dolphins. Every morning, families of playful dolphins can be seen here - diving to catch their lunch, playing or simply swimming lazily.

After a couple of hours watching the dolphins, the Solita cruises to the beaches of north Goa (weather permitting), before returning to anchor at the calm Coco Bay. Here, the guests can enjoy a cooling swim off the yacht and then a delicious lunch on board. Post lunch, the Solita will cruise back to the jetty in Britona as the guests can top up their tan seriously.

Note: During the season the sea is usually very calm, particularly in the morning. However, if there is too much of swell, we will change our itinerary and cruise the inland waters.

Sunset Cruises

On the sunset cruises, the Solita takes you on a gentle journey through the calm backwaters of Goa. The area is rich in bird-life and you will see majestic Brahminy Kites soaring above, herons and waders at the edge of the water and sudden blue flashes of kingfishers.

Enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine as we cruise past small villages dotted with churches and colourful Portuguese style houses.

As the sunset approaches, we go out to Aguada, to watch the spectacular colours in the sky.

The mood is mellow as the dusk approaches at the accompaniment of carefully chosen music.

Charter Details for 2010/2011

Period of Operation: 01 October 2010 to 30 April 2011

Charter fee (hourly): Rs 15,000/- per hour for private charter of the yacht . The rates apply for a minimum cruise duration of 2 hours. For any additional hour the charges will be 30% less. Note: from 23 Dec to 02 Jan, the charges are Rs 20,000/- per hour. For 31st Dec the charges are Rs 25,000/- per hour.

Full day charter (24 hours): Rs 90,000/-. This includes a maximum of 5 hours of cruising during the day. Additional cruising would be charged at Rs 6,000/- per additional hour. For the period 23 Dec – 02 Jan a rate of Rs 1,25,000/- applies.

Tax: Please add 10.3% service tax to the above rates.

Drinks: Water and soft drinks are included in the price. Other drinks can be purchased on board.

Meals: Lunch or dinner can be arranged given 24 hours notice.

Start/finish: Britona Jetty (opposite the Penha the Franca Village Panchayat, Britona) - approximately 10 minutes drive from Panjim

Capacity: Maximum 27 passengers in day time. For overnight cruises we have a Master bedroom with one double bed and one single bed and a guest bedroom with two single beds
